I emailed Celemony about their "Uno" version of Melodyne, it is going to be a plug-in version of the standalone program.
Here is their response.
Dear Scott,
Melodyne Uno, the small version of Melodyne announced at the Frankfurt Musikmesse, will not be shipping for another few months. Uno is not just some cut-down version of Melodyne; its automatic melody recognition functions are based upon a totally new technology developed especially for the smaller application. This will not only make Uno execute more rapidly but also ensure that it is simplicity itself to use, with much of the time-consuming work of setting parameters obviated by automation. Unfortunately, developing the requisite technology is taking somewhat longer than expected. Our best estimate at present is that Melodyne Uno will be ready for delivery this autumn or winter. In the meantime, please accept our apologies for the delay.
With best regards
