Otay, here's a quick and dirty little clip (http://tempusfugitives.articulateimages.com/GearClips/FonkRawkCoolMachine20090226.mp3) of George Blekas' Clean Machine. i have the cocked wah/auto wah version (he also does a wah-wah/auto wah).

The second guitar comes in clean, then flips to cocked wah for a verse, then flips to auto wah at a medium-ish speed for the solo verse, then goes to slowest speed, then fastest speed for 2 bars each for the outro.

Chapin Honey-caster (birch on mahogany body, blackwood on maple 25.5" bolt-on neck), bridge pickup - Lollar low-wind Imperial.

Krinard mod of a 100w four 6L6 '70s style D*-style head into a Fane Alnico 12". Clean channel, tone-stack bypassed. Gain cranked, Master low.

Senn 421 on the cone, Studio Projects C3 condenser about 3 feet back, a little compression added in Ableton Live 7.

Playing courtesy of Decay's Noodles with Clams Restaurant.

I like the auto-wah a hell of a lot - at slow speeds it's like a cocked wah with some swirl, and at medium speeds it's pretty vocal. Sure sign: I found myself moving my mouth in ooo-aaahs while I played with it. That's why you're not seeing a video of this - too embarrassing!

I think George is really onto something. :)

Way cool! I plan to try the treadle version very soon.

Just got back from (blues) band practice where I used it in public for the first time. Verdict: big fun! Nice cut in the mix, a not-your-everyday kinda sound for solos. This one's a keeper. :)
