This is a 1960 SG special that TGP'r Arriba currently owns. I had sold it to him a couple of years ago. Recently he brought it by for me to take a look at again after Gary Brauer had gone over the guitar. I must say it is sounding even better than I remembered. It's weathered and well checked mahogany body and mellow old P-90's lend it a very dry and woody voice that just can't be faked or reliced. If only it didn't have a wide-thin 60's neck shape, I would have never of parted with it.

Nice playing on a cool guitar. I'm with ya on those wide/thin 60's necks.
Sounds fantastic!

John, great tone from those P-90's-nice and sharp attack. What was the rest of your rig for the demo. My first guitar was a 1964 SG Special with wraptail-no vibrola. Never should have sold it but that was almost 30 years ago.

Thanks everyone.
Here's a bit of gained up playing with the SG hitting a Skreddy Screwdriver deluxe:

Love the clarity that's still there within the added gain of the Screwdriver. Great sounding guitar!
Thanks everyone.

Tell me about it. :D It's sitting in the Emporium right now, but after some major recent purchases, (Pomona steel, cough cough) I'm all tapped out. Oh well, at least it will keep getting played and be well loved by someone here on TGP.

Don't tell me something like that! I'll have to go checking on my bank account. However, not much left after my guitar buying spree the last 30 days! :rotflmao
