Anyone use wingnut style nuts to hold their speakers in? I was thinking it might be cool to be able to switch speakers in/out quickly. Anyone else try this? And if so, where did you get the parts from?

I tried it. On some speakers you can't turn the nut toward the end because it starts to hit the frame.

I do, so I can switch between a 15" Bass and Guitar speaker. Works well.

I don't use them but I've heard that using NOS wingnuts is much better sounding than the cheap Home Depot ones...

Wingnuts get good tone. A fact proved by this site for 6 years.

I would think the wings would hit the frame, no?
