I am working on a Pro, for a friend, chassis only, no tube chart, and am wondering about what distinguishes the various chassis designations?
This one has a rectifier tube, 5u4, right or wrong, was marked on the chassis but not supplied with it, and no face plate, either.
AA1069 or ? Any significant diffs?
Thanks.

You're going to have to download all the different silverface Pro Reverb schematics from the ampwares/mojo fender field guide and see which one this amp matches. A 5U4 is the safest rectifier option so that's fine for now. Does it have a Master control...if so, with or without a pull switch?
Look for 150 ohm, 7W resistors on the 6L6 cathodes -- '68. Not there, probably the '69. It looks like the '69 has a three prong courtesy outlet, the '68 is two prong.

No resistors. No master. Grounded cord, 2 prong acc'y out. I'll call it a AA1069 and work from that. Thanks.

I believe it to be an AA270. The AA1069 still had the GZ34.
