There's a whole religion based on AC30 output transformers. That BBQ-Boy transformer is not going to give you the goods, assuming you want the real deal, imo. It's intended for a Fender. You want to buy TDS(Matchless DC30) from West Labs, Mercury Magnetics, or Heyboer iron. Search on opinions for Woden, Haddon, and Albion. The power transformer and choke will have less influence than the output.
