Hey guys:

I've got a behringer b2 condensor mic that I use for scratch ideas... cheap and can take abuse! However, the shocmount that was supplied with the mount doesn't fit on a standard mic stand. The threaded part of the mic stand is incredibly small! So for now it is taped to my mic stand... nice and hi-tech.

Does anyoen know of a universal shockmount that I could use with this mic, that woudl thread onto the screws of a normal mic stand? Thanks!

It might be one that is just an insert, in which case, it will screw out and leave you with a standard threaded receptacle that will accept your stand's threads.

Yup, check if what Funky Monkey said is the case with your mount. If not, there are 2 options.

1) You can buy a mic stand, or just the boom arm, that can fit the mount. It's easy to get one of these dual fitment types:

2) You can buy a universal mount that will fit your mic stand. There are plenty around. This is one of mine. I have a SDC mounted on it now, but it will hold a LDC just fine:

Many shock mounts these days come with dual fitment too:

I will add that if you're using those damn inserts, make SURE to put the side with the slot facing DOWN. That way, when it comes unscrewed w/the shockmount and is stuck, you can use a penny to get it out of there.

If it's facing UP, it's a real PITA.
