Had a quiet day today, so had a chance to get some clips done. All through a clean JTM50-type amp, through a Marshall 4x12. Speaker mic'ed was a G12H-100.

Guitar was a tele in all cases, with a single-coil sized GFS "Lil Puncher XL" humbucker in the bridge.

Just an idea of the different flavours this pedal can get.

Love it! One of the best high gain sounds I've heard out of a pedal. Really! :banana

I like the speaker tone too...G12H-100? You mean G12K-100?

No I mean what I said. I have two Scumback H75's and two G12H-100's in my cab. They are shockingly similar in tone, although the Celestions cost me about 1/20th the price, as I picked them up used for very little !

Not familiar with the G12H-100, I assume it's no longer being made?

Correct. No longer a current model.

I'd liken it to a higher wattage , slighly more mid-heavy, G12-H30. Very, very similar to my 65W H75's. Strangely, when I record the H75's and G12H-100's in the same cab, I can hardly hear any difference.

does it clean up w/guitar volume knob?

It does but, personally, I don't like what it does at lower gain. It alll gets rather too buzzy and fizzy for my liking. For me, it's a superb mid-high gain pedal, period.

When I've got an AC Booster and a Tube Zone for lower gain stuff, I'd be mad to use the DM for that.
