I think I was hearing a rough mix of this album a couple of months ago and I couldn't stop shaking my head over every song and every arrangement and every lick on it. Totally unreal amounts of information happening in those tracks - he's a scary talented human.

Cool, he is an amazing player and also a big time film composer now - 40 year old virgin, superbad, saving sarah marshall.

I don't know man, I wish he could have gotten better people to play on it:

Simon Phillips
Jeff Babko
Jimmy Johnson
Vinnie Coliauta
Gary Novak
Jimmy Earl
Larry Goldings

Oh well, maybe I'll still get it out of curiosity :RoCkIn

BTW: Prairie Prince again did the artwork and it's really beautiful.

I just had my copy delivered a few days ago. Haven't had a chance to sit down and listen to it all the way through a few time yet. There were a few tracks that grabbed me immediately (including a couple he has up on his MySpace page). The other ones are going to take a few more listens to "click" I think. I don't have any of this other solo albums though, so it's only natural that it would take me a few times through to get accustomed to his style.
