SG ..... P90s to Humbuckers

I decided to see if I could fit Humbuckers in a SG classic. It looks like no problem... there is plenty of room in there, I would just need a humbucker pick guard to make it work! :drink

That kills everything that makes the Classic so cool. Might as well get an SG Standard, or a non-cool discontinued guitar

Well, because I had 3 classics ( now down to 2 ) and was thinking of a way to make one of them different. :dunno I recently traded an acoustic for a SG historic, so there is my humbucker SG and no need to hack the Classic up any more.

Best of luck Dr. Tweed. I can't tell you how many times I've gone through this too. Wanting a different pickup type here or there, or wanting a friggin trem in a nice LP. THen I saw Alex Lifeson's in a GuitRag this morning...dang.....

Hey tweedy, get yourself a pair of Lollar mini-humbuckers and put them in. Should fit perfectly and give you a different tone from full size humbuckers or P-90's. :AOK
