I Need A Mic For My Laptop

Hey guys, I need a mic for my laptop, since the built in mic really sucks. So here's the thing, this will be primarily for speech, and it needs to hook up directly to my laptop, either via a USB jack or a 1/8th inch jack. I would use one of my condensers, but they all require phantom power, and use a standard mic cable.

I've been looking at lapel mics to accomplish this, but I don't know anything about them. I don't need something to be wireless. I don't mind spending a 200 bucks or so on this, but I don't want to break the bank. Any ideas?
