I love her sense of melody and the way that she fuses jazz and prog rock.
Her bassist (Tony Grey) and drummer (Martin Valihora) are two of the best I've seen live. The last time they came through L.A. we were able to sit in the front row at the Jazz Bakery for two sets. Mind blowing.
I've seen her with the trio, with the trio plus Fuze, and with the trio plus John Shannon. Wonderful each time.

I haven't seen anybody pour their heart that much into their music since Janis Joplin.

She and her band just kill.
After hearing her I went out and bought all of her CDs.

I have and have also seen him live...for the life of me I'm not sure what relevance the above comment has to do with Sonicbloom...
the clips were mind blowing and a whole lot of fun to watch...I enjoy watching people who enjoy what they are doing and show it...

I am not a jazz player, per se. I still think the music is amazing. Thanks, Sean.

you make piano sound like some kinda disease... ;) just kidding. i'm sure its an awesome album - i'll be looking out for that one.
truly truly regret not catching hiromi when she passed through Singapore in '06 - we were playing the same festival. now every time i perform at that venue there's a picture of hiromi mounted on the wall in the dressing room area, silently mocking me for missing a really awesome gig.
Almost as sweet as Guile's Sonicboom!
