I just got a Voodoo Labs Superfuzz - a clone of the Jordan Bosstone with additional controls. "Tone" is a mid cut / boost, and "resonance" adds a subharmonic that is great for thickening, esp. at low volume. I have a half dozen other fuzzes, and the VL is my current favorite. Best...H

My ZVEX Fuzz Factory into a little amp has that anarchy sound, wild and untamed. Like a Marshall stack on 11.

Depends on what you are after. Myself, around the house I really like the Fulltone 70 going into my modded Champ 600 with the volume around 7 on the dial, although, the 70 sounds very good at higher volumes as well. The "mids" knob really adds to the versatility of this pedal, and the 70 also cleans up very well with the guitars volume knob, especially when gain is at 3:00 or lower.
There are a lot of choices depending on what you are after, eg. Fuzzface, ToneBender, Muff, etc. So what type tones are you after? This would help others to better answer your question.

Believe it or not, I find that the Dunlop JH-F1 (blue fuzzface), sounds fantastic through my Blues Jr. at low volumes; and set clean... much better than my 'higher quality/boutique' fuzzes.

For Page you may want to try a tonebender. I've got the BYOC and it sounds great but isn't nearly as versatile as a fuzz face though. Haven't tried that one at lower volumes or through a lower wattage amp yet though...

Try a Throback StoneBender for his early fuzz toned stuff.
