View Full Version : Wich speaker for my SCXD?
I have this nice little Fender Super Champ XD, wich I use for playing at home etc.. I'm going to replace the stock 10" speaker, because I want the sound to be a little bit deeper/richer. I'm playing mostly with the clean/breakup fender'y sounds in this amp.
I heard that the Eminence Raging Cajun is a good replacement, but they don't sell these here in Norway. What about Jensen speakers, should I go for the P10R or the ceramic C10R?

I have a RC in mine but I've heard a number of recomendations for the P10R. That was the model I was going to get before deciding on the RC. YMMV.

I use a Jensen Mod 10-35, which I like a lot.
Great! Any other opinions?

Some are going to a custom 1x12 combo cabs for these amps, and seem very happy with them. I know at least one (doc, I think) who was selling their RC speaker. Maybe they'd ship overseas?
I use either the RC 10" in the combo or a red white & blues Emi 1x12 cab, depending. Tonight I'll be jamming with some friends; light grateful dead and country type stuff, so I'll just grab the 10" combo and go.
Whichever one you go with, make sure it can take the volume of some of the "hi gain-ish" amp voices in the little SC. The stock speaker flattens like a pancake with some of them.
