I just released my first pedal!

It's called the Rumblefuzz (http://www.spacemaneffects.com/products.htm) and it's a warm, fat, bassy fuzz.

There are only 50 numbered copies, handmade, with the highest quality components, fancy PCB, Switchcraft jacks, Military-Spec wiring, etc.

Spaceman is all about killer tone, high durability, total uniqueness and that extra personal touch.

You can check the site for more info, but I am still rolling it out - so info is posted when I can.

Thanks for reading!!

Dig the clips and the look of the pedal, sounds pretty aggressive but still warm, what's the three way rumble switch do?

Also, seems to have more midrange content than some fuzzes, are my ears hearin' this correctly?

Thanks for the compliments!

The Rumble knob is actually not a switch, but a full-range potentiometer. I used 3 settings on the samples to show a few levels available. At zero, the input signal is fuzzed-out without any added EQ - pretty much straight though. As you turn up the Rumble, more bass and a pinch of low-mid is added in.

This pedal doesn't have the ability to do thin-sounding fuzz. It's all about fat, warm fuzz! It sounds awesome used to thicken up that single-coil bridge for a FAT solo. All knobs at max provides for some fun, especially with a tube half-stack and some Sabbath riffs...

Very cool Zak... so what does the toggle switch do then?

some of the best sounding clips i have heard in awhile.
seems you took the time to do some quality recording......and it shows.

i dig it, but it's too steep for me.
Also think with such a nice Spaceman symbol......that would work better for the graphics.
just a thought.

anyway...listening to the sound just made this part of the day better.

very nice! I'm going to have to plug one in if Old Town has one the next time I'm in there.

Sounds very cool! I am heading to Portland on the weekend of the 18th. Perhaps I could come by and take a listen if you are reasonably close to where I am going to be?

The toggle switch is a subtle addition. In the up position, it adds a Germanium diode into the mix, which changes the top-end fuzz texture. It's one of those things only a tone junkie can tell the difference between ;-) It does suck a little volume out of the pedal when engaged, but in some settings it really makes a usable difference.

The underlying concept was to make a fuzz with a limited circuit path, to make it as transparent as possible (for a fuzz). I personally use it at high settings for a thick, fat fuzz. I am currently using a P90 solid body, in the bridge position. I mainly use my Rumblefuzz for thick leads, and super-fat 70's metal riffs. I have been told by a couple owners, that they prefer the lower-middle settings for a transparent light fuzz - close to an overdrive tone.

I was in Trade Up a few days ago and saw one of your fuzzes. Didn't have time to plug it in, but will say that it is a great looking pedal. Nice job.
I will have to give it a run thru next time I am in there.

Thanks Amp Boy!

Those clips were made via: Rode NT1 -> Mbox -> Pro Tools, mono, no plug-ins. I used the guitars listed and played them into a 100w 69 Marshall Superlead + 300w 4x12, bottom left input, between 3 and 4 on the volume.

I did spend some time with mic placement to make sure I was capturing the right tone...

I posted the option of WAV files HERE (http://www.spacemaneffects.com/rumblefuzz_in.htm). As since I am a tone-lover, mp3's (though convenient) are my enemy ;-)

I understand your point that a pissed-off fish isn't very spacey, but I am one to do random things - and one thing Spaceman will bring you, is some randomly unique stuff - I promise!!

I just hope that one day I will make a Spaceman unit or three that you're looking for! Sign up for the mailing list at spacemaneffects.com (http://www.spacemaneffects.com) and i'll keep you updated on new releases!

I picked up a Rumblefuzz at McKenzie River Music today.

VERY cool pedal. Everything about it is top notch.

The last thing I expected to come home with was a new fuzz, but this one is just too fun.
