Not sure why those would be your two choices, one is a vintage analog delay the other is a digital delay voiced to be like an analog. They are two very different monsters. Are you ok with the added S/N ratio that accompanies a vintage true-analog delay? What functions do you need, which are irrelevant to you? Are you going to use it in-line or in a loop? Are you looking for dark sounds, bright sounds, long delays, short delays, etc. Gotta give us more than "wots best lol" Best is very subjective, especially when considering delay.

Im gona use it very lightly like an reverb and i have no loop so it must work good straight into the amp.

Personally for that I'd probably use the AD9 out of the two, although you're leaving out some awesome options for that purpose - Analogman AR20DL, Boss DM2, Ibanez AD-80 (IMO better than the AD9), Maxon AD999, and if you've got the cash to afford it, a Moog MF-104Z (haven't played it, though). The DBD really shines (IMO) as a mid-length delay (300ms or so). I use the Analogman AR20DL for the purposes of slapback like that, and love it very, very dearly. They often go for 150-180 on TGP.

The reissue AD-9 is a great choice for this, and mine gets a lot of use. For comparisons sake here is a vid I found of the AD-9 vs. the DM-2 and DD-2.
