Just picked up a Fender Hotrod Tele which I really dig but find the bridge to be incredibly ni=oisy. If I hold a wire from the bridge to any knob its dead silent.Does this mean the bridge isnt grounded??Any suggestins appreciated. Thanks!

I'd check both the bridge and the ground from the pickup to the pot. Probably the pickup ground.

Thanks for the reply!I resoldered the grounds from the Bridge pickup and its still bad.IThe guy who had the guitar before me put a Joe Barden bridge on it and its thick chrome, so I dont think its grounding with the bridge pickup screws.Im gonna stick a wire under the bridge and solder it to the Volum pot. That should work, hopefully.

Grounded the bridge and shes fixed.Still the typical single coil hum as you move the guitar, but the over the top hum is tamed!
