Vintage Fender Amp Reverb Buzz

Why when I increase the reverb on my BF Fender Deluxe Reverb does the buzz/hum become louder? I've played other old Fenders where this isn't the case, at least not to the same degree. It's not a calamity, but it would be nice to minimize it, if possible. Thanks for any info.

There shouldn't be any real noticeable buzz/hum, soft or loud.

So is it a fizz, a buzz, or a hum? To me they're different. A fizz or even a buzz could be debris in the reverb tank itself. A hum would be an electrical problem.

Your typical amp hum (not hiss or buzz), except it increases as I increase the reverb.

Could be either the driver or recovery tubes, or something else.

I replaced the reverb tubes: no difference. I've also had it recapped. I was wondering if it's simply a product of the extra gain stage.
