I'm getting married in July and wanted to get my groomsman some custom painted, personalized pedals as gifts. Does anybody do this or know of someone who does?
Say if I throw together a few BYOC kits and someone else could paint them up awesomely? or alternatlively I buy the pedals direct from a fx company that offers custom paintwork?
all hopefully without breaking the bank wide open.
Any leads in this area would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
-Tom

Donner box?
Jay at Gaspedals does really cool art on pedals not sure if he'd take on custom jobs.
I know Chad at CMATMODS has someone that does custom jobs for him at times.

Check out Lucibox. She painted these for me:

Some years ago I had a kit and a couple of stockers repainted just for giggles.
I asked around a bit, asked some of my artist friends if they or anyone else would want to try it for a few $ or whatever. My paint specs, lettering, and general idea, of course.
Eventually found someone (a student, IIRC) on Craigslist in my area that I liked the style of, so I prepped and primed, sent 'em out, she sent 'em, back, I topcoated and finished.
I might dig up some pics when I get home today, but I will say they turned out A++, total cost for 3 pedals with quite varied designs including shipping and my primer and topcoat was about $75.
I bet if you searched you'd find a student that was starving for portfolio padding willing to work for lunch (or less).

+1 on Lucibox. She regularly sells stock pieces that are immediately available thru her store on ebay: http://stores.ebay.com/LuciBox
I have gotten a process down as well that works if you have certain images you want on there, like a photograph, etc... Here's one I did for a BYOC MKII fuzz. PM if you'd like to swap ideas. I can tell you how I did it or figure up a quote for what you're looking for...
