Help finding this tone?

Trying to help my bass player nail this tone, It's very funky.
I'm thinking some compression, envelope filter or auto-wah, bring treble down.

Then again, I don't play too much bass.

Sounds like an octive pedal + envelope filter.

just sounds like an envelope filter to me. chunk systems agent 00funk mark II would get you there.
