I just got the caps for my bandmaster in the mail (ordered from teddy weber)...are modern caps exponetially smaller than the original ones...the 25uF at 25 v aren't much larger than the old resistors...the 20 uF at 600 v (bias supply caps) are alot smaller than the originals as well...prob 1/3-1/4 the size of the original...i know alot of hardcore people put the old sleeves on new caps....im a player not a collector so im not really worried about this....it just took me by suprises...

I replaced the caps in my Laney AOR with F+T's and was surprised by the difference in size also. They fit the mounting clamps but were substantially shorter than the LRC's they replaced. Modern caps can be made smaller Im told. Bob

Ever open a recent Sprague Atom cap?
Its a big ole can with a tiny core hanging inside lol.
There were some photo's floating around here somewhere, but I forget which thread it was.
