brownface rectifier

I've been gigging out with my 62 deluxe for a couple months now, everything is awesome. I want to change the rectifier out -- it came to me with a 5y3 installed. I believe the brownies call for a GZ34, and I'd like to try that out.

My question is, do I have to make any adjustments of any sort, or will I be just fine swapping out the 5y3 for the gz?

Any time a rectifier is changed,so does the voltage.So yes,you will have to check and possibly adjust the bias.

You should check, but chances are it should be fine.
