Ok I made three clips, it's three different amps using ths same guitar. The rhythm is the same for each. Here you go and fire away. It's just picking dynamics and turning the volume from 9 to 10, nothing more.
It's clips called "Number 1, Number 2 and Number 3" Guess which amp you think is which.
A Clubman, Vincent and Spitfire were used.

Please give your reasoning for your guesses I hate to tip my hand so early into the competition.

Here go's....
3) Spitfire - thinner & brighter then the other two = el84's
2) Clubman- Has that steely bite to it
1) Vincent- sounded fatter to my ear's

It's a bit confusing because your 123 order of play was labelled 321, but:
Clip labeled #3- Spitfire. Like others said, a little thinner, reedier.
Clip labeled #2- Clubman. Fat, more Marshall/Vox like tonality.
Clip labeled #1- Vincent. Fat and Chimey. Had more of a 6L6 thing.

I put the numbers backwards, (how the clips loaded) but the idea is the same. You are all going to surprised when I tell you what the results are.
If you can, let me know what one you liked and why, I'm trying to weed out one of these amps and am looking for input from other listeners and players perspective.

Clip labeled #3: Clubman, low volume not as good.
Clip labeled #2: Vincent/ never heard one, so ?...
Clip labeled #1: Spitfire/ good low volume tone.
They all sound good. Based on soundclips I like clip labeled #1 (third down the list) the best. Hearing them at gig level could be an entirely different pick.

I don't know the Matchless line very well, but #2 does sound like a Carr. It's a bit more milky and the attack sounds more cathode-biased to me... Am I right? What did I win?

Here's what the amps were
#1 - Spitfire. Amp volume was full on, tone around 11 with the gain around 3. Basically this was almost full blast. I'm surprised it even played somewhat cleanly.
#2 Vincent - Amp around 11, treble 11, midrange 2, bass 10, the variable control was around 2.
#3 Clubman - This is where I screwed up. I ran the amp gain around 1, never normally do this. The bass was at 9:30, treble 10:30 and brilliance 8:30. The volume was around 1. I should redo this clip where I usually use it.
For the Vincent, I had a Scumback H75 LHDC, this speaker should cut the highs a bit but it didn't seem to respond that way. I used a 1x12 Avatar OB cab with the same speaker type for the Clubman.

FWIW, I really liked #2 best regardless of what it was. Not surprised it was a Vincent. Carr is quite the amp builder.
