Hey guys, check out "Above and Below (Second attempt)" and "Above and Below volume swells (Magicstomp)" from my SkyDrive:

"Above and Below (Second attempt)" was recorded with a Boss GE-7 EQ (boost around 6k), a Boss DC-2 on setting 3, and a Line 6 Echo Park set on Hall, all recorded in stereo directly into the soundcard. I love the clean tones Holdsworth gets when he goes direct to the board, so I tried it direct into the computer and I was very happy with how it came out.
"Above and Below volume swells" was obviously recorded with just the Magicstomp, with a little EQ before it. I used one of Allan's presets, like AH Volume Swell 1 or something from the UD Stomp patches. This is about as close as it gets :)
Overall, I tend to like the sound of the first setup for some reason, even though it's not Allan's. I think the Magicstomp settings might have a little too extreme modulation for me. What kind of gear do you guys use when you play Holdsworth's stuff?
