Here’s the first fairly complete idea I recorded with my new Suhr Tele - on the obviously Tele sounding melodic parts here. The distorted rhythm guitars are my EBMM Morse hitting a Friedman Hairy Brown Eye Egnater module. The Bari is an Ernie Ball set up for A tuning. Speaker for all is the Scumback 100 watt. Pedals are XTS OD for Tele hitting Egnater B’Man B channel or clean with Keely Comp to the A channel for the harmonized melodic stuff. The Bari hits Tonefreak Melo Trem for some surf action. Oh, and I forgot my Gretsch 6120 is in there hitting the Keely Comp to Egnater VOX A channel.

Probably too much crap, but it sure was fun! I’ll have to re-mix when my ears recover with some Axe FX or Eclipse verbs for the final mix. This is more TV Musak in the surf category.

Nice work...as usual.

I'm a fan.

I gotta try out one of the MOD50's one of these days.

Hey John -

I'm having trouble with the link - this is the message I get:

This window starts the SoundClick player. If you have enabled a pop-up blocker, you can click the link here: play the song

You can then safely close this window.

The link on THAT page is dead - won't connect to the tune.

Anybody else have a prob? I'm wanting to hear the tune ....

Thanks, Dana

Long time no talk to V-man! I may be heading up your way later this week to Suhr country, so I'll keep you posted so we can maybe get together if you have time.

http://www.myspace.com/johnczajkowskiThanks John - now THAT I could hear - excellent stuff, garage surf metal - I dig it a ton! Is that a real drummer?

Love the two part leads too!

Thanks, Dana
PS - perhaps you're right re: vexing my browser - I'm looking at it through Google Chrome Beta, that could be the prob.

I like how you made us wait at the end for the cool melody overdub.

Thanks Dana, glad you enjoyed it. No, that's just Superior Drummer, which is a very useful program. I was able to whip the drums into shape pretty quickly so I could get straight in to the fun of writing. For this TV stuff, I try to be done with it in one day, or two at the most. So, a good drum sequencer and sampler really helps keep the creative flow going. It's funny how we obsess over guitar tones, but nobody else but us guitarists really cares. I think that the majority of the sports TV crowd needs to have their inner caveman drummer titillated. :)

Hey Chuck, sorry I missed your post. I assume you mean either the little doubled section or the outro. Either way, that's the Suhr bridge gained up harmonized with the neck/bridge very low gain/clean.

I have now discovered the ultimate Tele tone for me! The new Suhr Hedgehog amp. I was at Suhr this week checking out the prototype and the little monster is all the country, blues, funk, fusion tones and features I could ever want in one little head. Very, very inspiring! You can find a little Matchless, a little twin, a little Dumble, even a little Marshalliness in there. The control features are really cool. With a single provided footswitch you can program patches that have boost, mid boost, bright, series or parallel FX loop states. It's really cool. I'm totally obsessed with it as you can imagine and will be grabbing one as soon as they are available.
