Me too! I believe Julien is considering some possible west coast dates in the late fall after his next CD release, though I doubt if he'll make it all the way up to western Washington where I am. But I keep hoping...

me, too.
i have this odd problem, though,
of never quite knowing where i'm gonna be;
makes a mess of planning, it does.....

This was a great show. I live right down the street from Johnny D's. Both Julien and Jim were great. Both had killer tone.

Seriously! I remember being amazed how cool and down to earth Jim was. While I never actually studied privately with Jim or Julian I learned tons from their labs etc... Does Julian still have the pic of the Jackalope on his door?

I was lucky enough to study privately with both Jim and Julian. Just like everyone one is saying...both unbelievable musicians and really great people. Julian is just a monster. Some of the best guitar tone I've ever heard. He goes from a hendrix/beck type vibe to some really crazy stuff. His playing is never predictable.

"Jim Kelley's Guitar Workshop" book and CD; highly recommended

And a TGP moment: Jim had an original MKI Boogie that he ordered from the factory in 1977 - 60w, reverb, no graphic, EVM, blonde tolex. The chassis was signed by Randall Smith as I recall. This was a smokin good amp! Back in 1990, I tried for about 6 months to get him to sell me that amp, and one day he called me up and did. Next day, my son was born. It was a good week.
