Loving it! ot the Temolo-No to lock the bridge, works great, and the blower switch (goes straight to the bridge pickup wired right to the output jack regardless of the settings of the 5 way or vol. and tone pots.... very useful)..

Cool guitar. I was reading about the Tremolo-no and blower switch. Those both look like great ideas. Normally, I'm not a fan of that hybrid headstock but I think it looks cool with the Tele body shape. The black cherry metallic finish is one of my favorite Suhr finishes as well. I used to have a Classic in that finish that I got from Steve Snider that was absolutely beautiful... Contrats. Video clips coming soon?

Congrats on the new axe Peter. I like the headstock on it, and also like the cherry/black color combo of the headstock.

Blower switch is a good idea. Terry McInturff has had blowers on various models of his for awhile - I always thought it was a good idea.

Play the heck out of it and use it in good health....oh yeah, and make a nice demo vid for us.

hm, that is literally exactly the guitar that I would have had made if I was spec-ing out a new guitar right now...

I'm a little jealous. I'd be more jealous if I hadn't just gotten a modern 2 days ago.

Nice, Pete. I thought long and hard on that new headstock (and the black cherry metallic) when I ordered my last Suhr.

I hope to see more pics of this one when you get a chance.

Nice guitar! A Tele with humbuckers is a turn on. Does the extra wood on the headstock noticeably add to sustain or is it a cosmetic thing. Hmmm, solid mahogany body. I'd love to hear a tone report.
Congrats. Love you're playing.

Nice looking axe, Pete! I like the two-tone hybrid headstock. Just curious, is the Aldrich neck humbucker hotter than the SSH bridge?

That headstock does look good on a Tele. Congratulations on a cool guitar.

Count me in as another who is thinking about speccing one out exactly like this.

In what "Camp" does the sound of this guitar land in? More Les Paul'ish, Tele like?

Looks awesome, congrats!

That's killer.I like the new headstock much more when it's painted.

It resonates like crazy, especially with the trem locked. I'd say it still sounds Fender-ish, even with the woods we used... I think 25.5 scale has a huge impact on tone/feel. It's very clear sounding.

Seems like a winner! What is a T Electro socket if you don't mind me asking?

I think that's just the recessed jack socket that they use. Pretty much like a regular tele.

Ah, OK, sounded like something super "boo-teek". haha. Have you ever tried out a Pro series guitar? Not saying you should, just wondering what you thought of them if you had...

Te Pro series are great, they are only more affordable because of they are set specs (you can't order different woods, neck sizes, etc). They are 100% Suhr quality though.

Reviving this a bit. Now that you've had this a while would love to hear your review. If you ever get a chance I know many of us would love to see/hear a quick tone demo of this guitar. On the surface, it would seem to me that this would be a bit of an aggressive guitar. Would love to hear about its range and flexibility. When you spec'd out the guitar, what range of tones were you trying to cover. I'm in the process of spec'ing a tele style for some heavier rock and curious to how you're using this guitar. Thanks.

It's a killer guitar, really versatile. I really wouldn't change anything, to be honest. Love the neck profile (maybe a BIT beefy for some guys but I'd bet anyone would get used to it quick).

It's aggressive but still has the snap you'd expect from a 25.5 scale guitar. With the blower switch and the split coil options you can go from clean to dirt with just a 1 channel amp no problem.

The Tremo-No is really cool but I will say that if you switch string gauges you are in for a complete set up. It needs to be calibrated really carefully. And the little thumbscrews can go missing so easily.

Oh- 1 thing- I switched to the bent metal saddles. That changes the tone (warmer).

We got to hear that guitar with Pete playing (of course!) last night at our shop for the Suhr clinic. It sounded awesome. Andy Wood got to shred his Suhr wood too...

I think that's just the recessed jack socket that they use. Pretty much like a regular tele.

It is a light weight Aluminum machined cup
It screws into the side walls so it does not get loose and fall out like a classic tele cup can

Does the Aldrich in the neck work well with the SSH? I thought that was an interesting combination.

Hey Pete,
Awesome looking guitar! I love the black cherry color.
FWIW, here is what I use on my Tremol-no to keep the thumbscrews from backing out. It's just enough tension to keep 'em from spinning.
