Hi, I'm looking at a Suhr dual humbucker Pro Series S2. It's different from anything I have right now. In the neck is a SSV, the bridge is a SSH+.

If I remember the pickup selections correctly it is: neck humbucker, outside neck single coil split, both humbuckers, both humbuckers split, and bridge humbucker.

The body is alder, the fingerboard, maple. Does anyone have any experince with this model? I play clean, straight into an amp, sometimes at low volume. Would this style be right for me?

I'm afraid I haven't played a Pro S2, but I have a Pro S3 which is a beautifuly crafted guitar. Can't say enough about the overall fit, finish, tone and playability.

I think an S2 with the double (splittable) humbuckers would be a highly versatile guitar capable of covering a wide range of styles. You might want to wrap your mitts around the Pro's "Even C Slim" neck shape prior to a purchase, as some players feel it's a bit of the narrow side, although I have no issue with it myself.

Thanks for the response, one thing I'm wondering about is if the sound of both humbuckers and both humbuckers on, split, would sound more like a Strat's quack or a Gibson's middle toggle position.
