Anyone have one of these? He has a clip, but he plays mostly chords on it, not much help, looks real nice

I love mine. I use it for my clean strat tones to boost my strat. The best comp I've ever had, and I've had a bunch.

It is the most transparent comp I have heard period; no affect on tone, no pumping...just smooths things out the way you want...amazing device

I agree completely. I've had the Keeley, Aya, BJF, Diamond, Tone-press, T-REX, Boss, and probably a few others I can't recall right now. Anyway, as far as transparency goes the Mirage beats them all. This is a seriously cool box, and the builder Montez is a very nice guy. I highly recommend.

The Mirage and its builder, Montez, get big :AOK from me. There is very little squash in the Mirage, so it doesn't do much for chickin pickin or funk type stuff. It does some limiting when it's turned up pretty high. But where it really excells is adding a lot of harmonic richness to the tone and lifting the end of notes to give more sustain.

The Mirage leaves your tone and playing dynamics completely in tact. I run in front of some very dynamic ODs (KOT, HBOD, ScrewDriver, DLS, etc.) and don't sacrifice any feel or dynamics when the Mirage is on. And it's so transparent that I'm sure that if they couldn't see my board, 99.99% of guitarists wouldn't know I had a compressor on, even at pretty high settings. When you do notice that something's up, though, is when you turn it off. "Hey, where'd my tone go?!"

ditto! If you don't want a big "squish" - just some smoothing and fattening it's a great choice.

It's a good comp with excellent support from Montez.
