Is there a way to date these? And are any of these still available for sale out there (ebay, amp shows)? I have a 1966 Deluxe Reverb that's all original but for the Accutronics reverb pan (and caps). Just wondering if this can ever be 'restored' with respect to the reverb pan or if I'll have to learn to love the Accutronics. Thanks.

Isn't Accutronics the successor to Hammond and Hammond/Gibbs, and aren't they original equipment on Fender amps? If it's the appearance, I think the cad plating may be a relatively new development but I betcha you could ask them to make you one without it. Or, you could leave it out on the porch for a few months until it gor all crusty and nasty like they do after 40 years in the bottom of an amp.:AOK

Yeah, Accutronics is the successor to Hammond, but I'm pretty sure their pans didn't appear in Fender amps until the 70s. Could be mistaken.

Every blackface fender amp I've serviced had an accutronics tank.Never paid much attention to dating codes if they even have them.

Really? I thought all of the BF models had Gibbs reverb tanks. Beats me.

My 66 and 64 have gibbs just like the one in the link above. There are date codes on them as well.

Yep, that's what I thought. Unfortunately, the TGP seller linked above has already sold his '66 tank. Anyone have any idea where I could track one of these things down? And can anyone point me to a resource for code info? Google has been unavailing. Thanks.
