Sorry if it seems like self-promotion, but for what it's worth the blog is entirely a labor of love, hosted on a free service and with no ads or anything else that could possibly bring me any money. And I pay for my audio hosting, too.

My blog is over at geareview.wordpress.com. I'll quote a bit of the introductory text:

I enjoy reviewing gear, and I am currently very deep into software amp and effects modelers and other recording software. My current collection is as follows, alphabetically by manufacturer, but I am always looking to add more to the comparative reviews:
Groove Monkee (http://www.groovemonkee.com/home/)
Drum Library Studio Pack
Drum Library Rock 2: Alternative, Soft
IK Multimedia (http://www.ikmultimedia.com/)
Amplitube 2
Amplitube: Jimi Hendrix
Amplitube: Metal
Ampeg SVX (powered by Amplitube)
Amplitube: Fender
Kazrog Software (http://www.recabi.net/)
Recabinet 1.05
Line6 (http://line6.com/podfarm/)
Pod Farm 3.0 Platinum
Native Instruments (http://www.native-instruments.com/)
Guitar Rig 3
Rig Kontrol 3 interface
Overloud (http://www.overloud.com/)
TH1 1.1
Peavey Electronics (http://www.peavey.com/products/revalver/index.cfm)
ReValver MkIII
Studio Devil (http://www.studiodevil.com/home/)
Virtual Guitar Amp
Virtual Bass Amp
Waves (http://www.waves.com/)
GTR Solo

I've had a lot of on-going experience with the software that I use, and before getting into software I used hardware units extensively. I am just about done with everything here at college, graduating on Saturday; I'll be back to doing regular comparison clips very soon. First up on return is a post running through every single dirt pedal (overdrive, distortion or fuzz) in every program I use. Before PodFarm Platinum, that was 48; now it's more. I will also be going back and adding plugins to earlier comparisons from when I didn't have all of them. I have articles as well where I offer my views on certain aspects of modeling; I keep up to date on new freeware releases and I do free beta testing for startup programmers over at guitarampmodeling.com, too. And of course I do hardware reviews, as well.

Hopefully it might be a useful resource to some of you guys who are interested in modeling. If I'm posting this in the wrong place, let me know and I'll see about getting it moved.

It's definitely useful Agreed. I really enjoyed your thread at HC.

Hey, thanks man :) Everything there is mirrored on the blog, and all new content will be going directly there. It's a lot easier to point people to a blog than to say "well, go check out x, y, z threads...," especially when I'm contacting companies. It's been a sleepy blog since last month; lots of stuff to do when it's time to graduate, haha. BUT, now I'm done, and I've got time on my hands to get back to updating regularly with a variety of content, software and hardware. I'm excited to get Line6 and TH1 in the mix... I think I'm going to re-do the old comparisons now that I've got an overall more sophisticated recording rig, and much more software to work with I think everything will be even better. That's my hope!
