Somebody Help!!

So I'm sitting here recording with my badcat 30R 1x12 that I bought from a user on tgp, and all of a sudden my amp shuts off. I checked the tubes, changed the power cable, smelled for funny "burning" smells and nothing... For the life of me, I have know idea what happened. I've had this amp for a few months and have never had a single issue. Does anyone have any freaking idea what's going on. This is driving me crazy!!

Did you check the fuse?

after calming down, yes I did check the fuse... And it was blown. I've owned several tube amps, but have never had this happen. Is this common?

I'm not familiar with that amp, but does it have a tube rectifier? I would start with that, then if that's not it, try another set of tubes.

Most likely a tube shorted.

At worst case, if it's a power tube, you may want to take it to a tech. I have a power tube short and take out a screen resistor in my amp.

Ok, yes it does have a tube rectifier.

just pulled out my rectifier tube.... Busted.

You should be good to go with a new rec tube and a new fuse. I wouldn't imagine any damage has been done.
