Man, i love how it performs, but setting the intonation on this thing has a margin of error of ZERO

The darn hex screw holes are frail and strip easily, then the things are damn near impossible to put back in if they slip out

Already lost one of the washers in the guitar. Had to use tweasers to reinstall the screws. It's like you have to be a surgeon with this thing

Looks like I'm going back to the same ole same ole

Had a nice run

I've never had a problem intonating mine - in fact they come pretty right on out of the box.

I've had the Wilkinson "Vintage" Trem on my Walnut "The STRAT" for many years now, and never had a problem with it, whatsoever. I also use a Earvana Nut, and the guitar intonates great with this combination.

I installed the Wilkinson Vintage trem after talking with James Tyler about it at the NAMM Show one year. He highly recommended the Wilkinson, and uses them on his guitars.

When I'm setting intonation I use the neck pickup and turn that tone knob to "0". That way I avoid any harmonic spill over and the fretted note ring true.

Amen to the adjustment woes.
The tone on these things is great, but the hex screws are about halfway stripped by now, and moving the saddle back or forward is awkward.
Great fix for lightweight guitars. A friend dropped one into an $85 Saga kit Strat and the gtr. really sustains now.

VS100?
What's the problem ??
You only loosen the lock bolt a half turn and use the back grub screw to move it.
Why is that a problem?

Nope it a VSVG. I was just venting, and a certain company is providing me 6 brand new screws/washers FREE. I really like this bridge, and I can't part with it.
But to say that setting the intonation is as easy as standard strat bridges is seriously misplaced.
One slip, and that screw comes out with the washer, and getting it back in there sucks

How about this?

One of you take a screw out, and tell me how fast you got it back in there.
Baxtercat knows the deal !

Did you use the thumb wheel screw provided to hold (and move) the saddle when you unlocked it?(half a turn again only.)

whoa ! do not remember receiving such when I ordered it.

Are these fairly easy to get or are they proprietary to Wilkinson ?

EDIT:
okay, i just fired an email off to hosco, we'll see what happens

Thanks
