Well how far are you from New Jersey? Jim Zaleski from the Pitman Music Museum in Pitman New Jersey did my 68 D-28 about 3 years ago.

He will reset your neck and set up the guitar as well. Can't remember the price. I think approx. 300.00? In three years I changed the strings once and use a humidifiyer in the winter time. I wd-40 the strings when I clean them and she always plays great.

If that's not an option you can always ship back to Martin and they will do it as well. But it will take awhile.

I have seen this guy do some unbelievable work in restoring guitars. Just this week I seen him restore a 93 Gibson Nighthawk. If you could see it/play it, before and after, you would be shocked!

I work in the store as a guitar teacher for a side job and that's when I discovered his talents. Know one else can work on my guitars! I thought about quiting because it takes a lot of extra time, but I can't give up the extra perks of working for him. He always cuts me deals and deducts all repairs and gear purchases from my monthy pay checks from teaching. It's so hard finding people that you can trust to repair vintage instuments and amps.

If you need a good amp guy let me know I have another guy that does all my work if its over Jim's head.

Oh! South Fla. missed that:jo He also has a house in Florida that he visits all of the time he is usually there once a month for about a week or so at a time.

Just give him a call if you don't have any other decent options.
