For some reason, they just popped into my head. They do not appear to have any entries here on TGP.
I was a college freshman in DC in 1980, and they played at Catholic U. Just Googled them and found a little bit of trivia, plus some tunes on MySpace. Vox, guitar, bass, keys, and drums. I don't remember much, except they had harmony vocals, they rocked pretty well, and I think Red Shoes was out (could be wrong on that one). I think DC101 or WAVA played some of their stuff.
For you guys who have ties to the metro DC and Baltimore areas, and knew the band (or saw them more than the once I did), please fill me in!

Face Dancer...Now there's a name that I haven't heard in a long time. A long time indeed.
Saw them several times, including their album release party. Along with Here Today, Happy the Man, Rainbow Bridge, and a very few others...great DC-area rock band with talented players that at least got their shot at the big time.

Sounds like something I paid for at a bachelor party once.

I remember 'Here Today'. I used to see them at the old 930 club before they changed the bands name to try and get signed, Stanley Whittaker is currently fighting cancer. I don't remember the 3rd band.

Yeah , it's been a loooong time. They gotta be geezers by now. I remember seeing them downtown and in OC when I was a teenager. And that was over 30 years ago.

Face Dancer at the Sandbar in Pasadena... Wow, that brings back some memories, has it really been 30 years?!?!?!?! They seemed to fall off the radar pretty quickly but I just read that they are having a reunion of sorts.
Remember the Ravyns? How about that other band called "The Shoes" that ran into a name issue when releasing their album and had to change their name to "KIX"...
Man I feel old today.

Same here! I grew up in the Baltimore area, but never saw them live.
Other local bands of interest (at least for me) from that geographic area and time were Crack the Sky, The Ravyns, The Kix, and Child's Play. I've been to Kix and Crack the Sky reunion shows in recent years -- those guys still sound great.
