:) I've got a permanent smile on my face. What a beautiful amp. The cleans are some if not the best sounding cleans I have ever heard. This amp can get that nice semi chime tone. Sounds gorgeous with a strat. The overdriven tones are very Hendrix like. The amp just sounds big with a strat. No pedal needed when playing blues lines. But when you add a OD, it eats it up. Super pedal friendly circuit. The amp is extremely quiet at idle. This one does not have a master volume. I really like this version of the plexi as it isn't so bright. You can dial in just the right amount of treble/presence to cut through.

That is awesome to hear since I am planning a plexi chassis build from Nik in the very near future, congrats! Hey sweetpea, does Placerville still host a 4th of July parade down mainstreet? I was there as a kid in 1973 just after the legendary biker riot. Nice town.

I second the "WOW". Got mine yesterday. What speaker or speakers are you using with yours. GT

Purplexi,
Placerville still does host the 4th of July Parade. I love it here. It's been about 20 years and the downtown still looks the same. Very friendly little goldrush town.
.... I am running two Austin Speaker Works KTS-70's through a open back cab built by JDesign Cabs.
Congrats on your new Ceriatone!

Man what a great setup! I think the Bass version is the most kickass Marshall!

Is it cleaner when dimed or just less trebley compared to the superlead? Congrats on your Ceriatone :)

I have yet to dime it. I will give it a go when I have the house to myself. It's very loud amp as you can imagine. ...Not SuperLead loud though. I really prefer the amps volume at midway or slighty above ( 5 or 6 on the volume knob) as I like the headroom it provides for chord work. It starts to break up just about 5. With my strat, if I dig in you get that punchy Hendrix tone. But it is the feel that is also so cool. The strings really are alive and nuances are so easy to obtain with this amp. The notes just bloom and sound so full. With my em-5 echomachine and ep-pre, the clean tones sound tremendous. I really like the OCDv.4 for lead playing as it maintains the amps inherent tone.
