Maybe one of you pickup experts can answer this one for me. I have a vintage Jaguar, and the D string is low in volume, only on the bridge pickup. The pickup's resistance is 6.2k, right about what you'd imagine, and the neck pickup is a little higher but the strings are much more even in volume. Any ideas why?

Touch a screwdriver to the magnets and compare the strength of the two pickups. Normally the D string will be the weakess with flat poles especially compared to the plain G string and as you get closer to the bridge it everything gets weaker.
