new stuff this week

Egnater / Avatar Vintage with Hellatone 30 / PRS SE Soapbars / Holy Grail

I was shocked how good the Egnater and Avatar sounded. I thought the PRS SE was a piece of junk when I first opened the box but after putting new strings on and adjusting bridge it stays in tune and sounds really good. Its a good used guitar for what I paid.

Hrmph...I credit that little Egnater with getting me playing again. What an awesome piece of gear. Just can't get enough of it.

Great combination. My rig is very similar, though I ordered mine in Large. It sounds incredible.

nice large size! I probably should have went w/ 2x12 but the 1x12 is plenty for my basement. I might daisy chain another off of it later.

I went from playing a marshall 2 speaker solid state to this and I can not believe the difference.

Yours has the advantage of portability - that Avatar oversize 2x12 can be a real pain to lug around. It's almost the size of a small 4x12.

How do you like those Soapbars in the PRS?

Love Egnaters. Love PRSi. Almost bought an Avatar but went with Egnater instead, these 4x12s are a steal.

The soapbars are interesting. I'm used to Humbuckers but like how these soaps clean up like a strat and can go from gibson sounding to almost metal.

I think my next guitar is either going to be some type of hamer soap or G&L soap.

I wonder how the Rebel 20 would sound with a 1x12 or 2x12 with greenbacks? Anyone tried it? My favorite speakers with Marshalls-not sure if it suits the Rebel or not.
