I'm contemplating getting one of those (steel string version) as a travel and late hours practice guitar. From reviews it seems like a really nice instrument, any opinions?

Haven't played one myself, but on a DVD of Queen live a few years back, the vocalist they got to replace Freddie Mercury played one on a couple of cuts - in that setting I thought it had a very nice sound. Of course at that level you could EQ someone playing their nose to sound fabulous.

works nice for practice, the body is weird to get used to though.

Here is a Youtube link of Rik Emmett from Triumph playing “Mid Summer Daydream” on one. I used to own one. It sounded good and played well. I used it live and for a backup guitar. Impressive for what it is.
