Looks like my band has dissolved due to personality conflicts between its core guys (I just came on two months ago). I'm looking to find guys to play with as well as just places to play. Any suggestions? I live in Somerset County (Central) New Jersey.

Thanks.

Scottland Yard in Hoboken is known for its blues bands, and the open jams which I believe are twice a week.

There is a micro brewery/Jazz/Blues bar on Main St in Woodbridge/Avenel that used to have jam nights and Guitar Hero Wednesday.

Great Notch in Little Falls Monday Nights, Wagon Wheel in Bergenfield Sunday nights,
Cecil's in West Orange Thursday nights, I believe Mexicali Blues Tuesday nights. Looking for people to jam with too. Drop me a note. I think there are others too... :)

What kind of jerk lives in the 5th richest county in the country?

I almost bought a house in Bridgewater a few years back. Love it; close to everything yet plenty of houses with a some land and at the time Bridgewater taxes were good times. Much to my wife's dismay we're in Bernardsville. Everyone thinks we're loaded when we tell them where we live but little do they know we're in the slums, haha.

Ok, so I didn't help you with your question but just wanted to say hi from another Somerset County clown.

The people of Mendham laugh at your Bernardsville address. :)

Maybe we should make our own jam!

The only thing I can say is that if my wife worked I just might be able to stretch a little and live in a place like Mendham! Unfortunately I couldn't afford it and had to settle in Bridgewater.

In truth I really like it. But I commute to NYC most days and the trip sucks. We were literally homeless when we moved here in late '01 and I trusted the NJ Transit train schedules like an idiot.

But I have a bigger... ok I got nothing

There are some sick homes on the Bernardsville/Mendham border. Just driving on Mendam/Bernardsville Road is enough to make me poop my pants. Which one is yours? haha

Notice I didn't say that *I* laugh at your address. :)

If I had that much money, I'm not sure I would live in NJ.
