I currently have a CAA OD-100 at Suhr to have converted to a PT-100.

After talking a bit with John, he suggested I request a solid state loop.
From my understanding, it will still be tube buffered, but will have less noise and no bleeding like the standard loop.
He says it's especially good for lower volume playing. (not that I don't play loud)

I'll be using a Lexicon PCM 41 delay in the loop and want the best possible results.
I'm not 100% sure if the solid state loop is the way I should go.

Has anyone ordered theirs with the solid state loop?
If so, how do you compare it to the standard, and how do you like it?

Trust me !
The SS loop is killer,
#1) No loop bleed at all
#2) Buffers the return level very efficiently with no tone loss at very low volumes so you can use the loop return level for super low bedroom levels
#3) Lower impedance and Higher current send so drive long cable lengths or keyboard volume pedals is a breeze.
#4) Optional Line / Instrument switch
#5) True mix return if you make a special cable, (Stereo return jack which has 2 inputs)
#6) The makeup gain is still all 100% tube and the whole thing can be bypassed

I put it into my sons amp :dude

Thanks again John!
Big Kudos to you and Chris!
Every time I call, one of you are always there to answer any and all my questions.

I never really doubted your advice to go with the solid state loop, but just wanted to see if anyone else had any experience with it.

I don't know about the SS Loop from personal experience but my amp may have to make a road trip. John is the best there is IMHO in customer service and knowledge of this stuff. I have no doubt the loop rules. The PT100 is killer BTW.

Hey Steve,
Yeah, can't wait to get it!
I'll let you know how I like the loop (that is if you can restrain yourself from getting it done first, LOL!)
