Where's the outboard gear? His sound is usually buried beneath a ton of delay and chorus.

Dunno what's a Wilton, but I'd be wiltin' if I had to listen to that "rig".

Whats with the tape or whatever in front of the mics? Maybe because the mic is positioned right over the cone?

I bet I wouldnt dig his live sound at all.

I mark my cab like that, so I don't have to do mic placement myself every time --- if somebody else is setting mics, it's pretty self explanatory where I want the mic.

I like the mic way out towards the surround --- I would hate to hear the highs coming off those mics that are right on top of the dust caps --- ugh!

Exactly, it's for consistent mic'ing especially on the road. Fairly common practice.

Yup! Photo at the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix two weeks ago, American Soldier tour.
Brand new, not in production yet, "1980" head and cab.
Rev Plus Head and cab.
