Hi guys, Im embarking on my first pedal board untilizing an amp effects loop and am having a problem. First Im running a Fuch TDS 100 and several pedals (mostly in front of the amp). the pedals in the loop will be

Visual Volume pedal
Eventide Modfactor
Eventide Timefactor

The amp will run in parallel or series and has send and return level controls. I need to run the volume in series and the others is parallel for the best results.

Now the question... The suhr mini-mix allows to convert a series loop to parallel and would make the situation work. What are my alternatives? Im sure the suhr would do the job but its a bit pricey at $250 bucks.

Can't wait to hear your ideas.

If it were me, I'd run the vol. pedal between the guitar and the amp (gives you the same effect as if it were in the loop in series), and the other two through the loop and then try them both in series and parallel and pick which one you like best.

Ditto here.

My personal experience with Suhr gear is that it is more than worth its price. (If used is okay, there is one in the Emporium for $145 right now: http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=544930 )

You could run loop out -> Vol pedal -> Mini Mix -> loop in, or
loop out -> Mini Mix -> Vol pedal -> loop in, which is to say put the Vol pedal in series with the Mini Mix rather than in its loop.

Good luck!

WaltC, Im trying to avoid putting it in front of the amp as Id like it to control volume and not the internal gain of the amp.

Crikey, thanks for the link, thats a pretty good price but it is the first generation, and Im not sure what changes were made. I know it does the job (and probably best), but are there any similar products that can get the job done as well?

thanks for the posts guys.
