What's your preference?
I installed straplocks yesterday and have been hunting for something nice, preferably old-school'ish and works well with and SG.

Raw leather on the underside will help keep the guitar stable.

I use a Franklin on mine. A bit expensive, but the leather is really soft and comfortable. Plus the wide width and rougher underside can help if your SG is one of the ones with a heavy neck (one of mine is, one isn't). Downside on bigger straps is they don't always fit inside those tight, barely bigger than the guitar, Gibby cases

Ditto on all of the above. I love my Franklins with my SGs......

What kind of straplocks did you put on?
How long were the screws, and did they fit the standard holes or did you fill and redrill?
Thanks!

I put on Schallers. The screws were about the same size (an inch or so in length) but definitely smaller in thread size. I filled the holes first using wood glue and some toothpicks (split in half and cut to length) before tapping them in with a small hammer and adding the screws shortly after the glue had set up for a minute. It seems to have worked out great.

Looks nice! The first I have seen so far with holes pre-drilled for adding strap locks. You would think more strap makers would have picked up on this by now.
