I know this may sound dumb, but right on the website it says that Swart based their AST on a Gibson Scout, and you know what kind of components they're using (Heyboer, Mallory, Sprague, JJ). So how different can the schematic be form the usual reverb/tremolo 2x6v6 amps?

The "usual" reverb/tremolo 2x6V6 amps are Fender Deluxe Reverbs and close relatives. The AST is quite different from that. I do enjoy mine a lot, BTW.

Well I played one and agree -it's one of the most "right" sounding amps I have ever heard. However, it seems really simple/basic. I'm at the point where I don't need ot buy amps anymore because I can build my own (still a newb though). That's why I'm curious as to the structure of the circuit.

Hey Googoobaby -can you tell me what the main difference is to your ears? Is it more tweed sounding than a Princeton reverb? Do you know anything about the circuit (like does it really resemble the Gibson scout?). If you don't mind, can you tell me what model Heyboer transformers are used for the AST? The stickers should be easy to read.
