What pedal will give me the best JCM 800 tones, going into a clean but fairly warm tube amp (old Dean Markley 6L6 from the 80's). I really like the JCM 800 tones I get from my Behringer Vamp, but hate the cheesey digital character. Play a strat.
Let me know your suggestions. Thanks.

I would love to see pedal suggestions qualified for a perticular amp.
For example, I think a pedal to get a AC30 to go "plexi" might be alot different than one meant to be used with a Fender.

Brotech Fatpipe Pro. I owned a 1987 Marshall JCM 800 2203 running thru a Carvin 4x12 cab w/ Cele 70 80 model speakers. The Brotech Fatpipe Pro(which I own) can sound exactly like that IMO. I sold the 800 and bought an Ampeg VL-1001(Lee Jackson designed), which is similar in sound, but everywhere that the 800 fails the 1001 excels.

I just got a new DLS and I love it...sounds like instant Angus/Nigel Tufnel!

Nothing will do it exactly.
Through a 6L6 amp i'd probably try either the Crunch box or Analogman DS-1

SIB Varidrive with a Lovepedal JCM800 Hot/STP combo into it, piped into a beautiful clean sounding amp...to me it sounds & feels in some ways BETTER than the real thing (dynamic control with pedal/volume pot selection), and I'm a JCM800 freak from WAYYY back ;)

Really? I didn't know that. Are you saying that in terms of tone or actual circuit? It has 3 preamp tubes?

I picked up a Marshall Drivemaster from the 90's. It nails it with my musicmaster bass amp, a little flub on the bottom end b/c it's an open back but I love it. The Drivemaster pulls it off as good or better than most other pedals I've tried and it can be had for under $100.
