So, there's a jack for an ext cab on the panel: Is that an 8 ohm out AND will the AST combo speaker run simultaneously with the ext cab, or does one have to choose between the AST speaker OR the ext cab?

You have to choose, can't run both. Big bummer, IMO. I love mine though!

That is disappointing-I wonder if there would be a way to bypass that-as in a diasy-chained ext. cab?
