Just spent about an hour with it and I'm loving it! The cleans are much better than I expected and the USA/Brit switch is very drastic. It can be a little brittle and thin on the Brit side and I'm hoping preamp tube swaps can help with this. Verb is lush and there is plenty available.

Channel 1 (gain) is articulate and punchy. Very punchy. Not a fan of the scoop switch but even with that on there are plenty of mids. Vintage/modern switch is pretty usable. The mid knob is at a great frequency as you can get all kinds of sounds by tweaking it yet never lose that punch. The gain structure has a lot of clarity even when the gain is dimed.

Feature wise this amp is great. Individual verb and effects levels for each channel, usable tone switches, and the 50w/15w switch is great. Built like a tank too.

And before all of the "pics or it's a Bugera" replies come, don't worry I snapped a couple:

AW SHIT!!!! :freak: :facepalm::facepalm:

With the Avatar 2x12 (V30's) which I wired a 16/4 ohm switch to just minutes before the amp got there (it only has 4/8 ohm outputs)]

I was looking at one of these, I've had alot of traynor amps and they've all been better than their "affordable" counterparts. Can it get the sound of a 60s Marshall with the vintage/modern switch? Every Traynor I have had did higher gain well but not a vintage sound.

I have the combo version of this amp. For 60's Marshall tones, you would use the Brit voicing on the clean channel. It gets a good amount of breakup. IMO you can get a lot of Marshall in that channel.

Oh yeah. Dialing the gain back on Ch1 (gain channel) will get you there as well. The mids are very prominent on this amp and the mid control is actually usable from 0 to 10 without getting lost in the mix; just different tones.
