Two fine players having a gas and paying their respects. No more, no less... Fun.

Ugh
Im tired of the MJ bandwagon.
Ruined iconic talent as a matter of course.

After seeing Vai doing the solo, it reminded me once again just how good Eddie is on a good day. There's a reason why EVH is a living legend and Vai is not.

...it's a jam not a tribute band... But Vai is certainly on record that there was only EVH, an icon...

They both did a great job of making the vocal melody sound very vocal.

Meh....screw both of 'em. It was the bass player's intensity and wild abandon that sold that performance. He freakin' owned that stage.

You'd think the guy that transcribed Eruption would have played such an iconic solo a little more closely to the recording.

Seems like something that they threw together at the last minute and for that I thought it was fine.
I'm sure Vai didn't have the time or inclination to learn the solo note for note. But he's Steve Vai. I'd rather hear him be Steve Vai than emulate EVH.
