Hey all,

Been looking to "visually" upgrade my strat to look a bit more "unique". No major pimpage, just changing the pickguard, the bridge and pickup covers, input jack and maybe even the neckplate. Ok so maybe a a moderate amount of modding.

Been wanting some opinions on what people thought of my idea's, and which one they'd opt for if given the chance.

First to show you a pic of my Fender MiM strat (a lefty).

Right I had a idea of going for a complete gold or gold/black accessory theme.

I was firstly planning to have a gold bridge

Also gold input jack and gold pickup Covers. Now I was choosing to have either

Gold Mirror Pickguard:

Or Black Mirror Pickguard:

So it would a few choices.

1. Mirror Gold pickguard, with gold pickup covers, bridge, input jack.
2. Mirror Black Pickguard, with gold pickup covers, bridge, input jack.
3. Mirror Gold pickguard, with black pickup covers, bridge, input jack.

So what are your thoughts!

If you're going gold hardware, I'd go for the gold pickguard, but personally am not a fan. I'd have a wood pickguard made for it with gold hardware. A couple good pickguard companies available that won't break the bank either. Here's a site that does great work. Had a custome one made for my HB-35. http://artisanguitarrepair.com/woodpickguards.com/index.htm
